About this event

Bombay fishermen Rakesh and Ganesh inherit the same Koli knowledge system - reading the sea by moon and tide, a practice stretching back millennia along the Arabian Sea. But their paths diverge: Rakesh stays loyal to traditional methods, while Ganesh turns to technology, as the sea itself shows signs of dying under the pressure of climate change. Against the Tide (2023, 97 min), directed by Sarvnik Kaur, captures that environmental unraveling through an intimate, personal lens. English subtitles. Free entrance.
