Broken Hearts Club: About Time (2013)
About this event
The morning after a bad New Year’s party, Tim (Domhnall Gleeson) gets told by his dad (Bill Nighy) that the men in their family can travel back in time - just stand in a dark cupboard, clench your fists, and think of the moment. Tim, awkward and hopeless with women, uses it for the obvious reason: to get things right with Mary (Rachel McAdams), an American he meets in a pitch-black restaurant in London. Richard Curtis (Four Weddings, Notting Hill) wrote and directed “About Time” (2013), and said at the time it would probably be the last film he’d direct. It opens as a time-travel romcom and quietly turns into something else entirely - a film about fathers and sons, and about how to live an ordinary day well. Bill Nighy has never been better. Bring tissues for the last half hour. Mark Dinning of Empire called it smart and sweet, funny and genuinely moving, while Kyle Smith of the New York Post said it sneaks up and socks you right in the tear ducts. Wednesday, November 25 | 8:00PM TicTic, Phnom Penh Free entry & popcorn - arrive early for sofa, bed, or beanbag seating
