Nearly a century old, the Asahiza movie theater in Minamisoma has survived by screening old films - though not, admittedly, to large crowds. When manager Yasuzo Morita finally decides to close it down and burn the old 35mm reels, a young woman named Rika Motegi shows up from Tokyo to stop him, determined to save the theater.
