About this event

When Soviet leader Joseph Stalin dies in 1953, the scramble for power that follows is somehow both historically grounded and absurdly funny. That's the territory of The Death of Stalin, Armando Iannucci's razor-sharp political satire starring Steve Buscemi, Simon Russell Beale, Jeffrey Tambor, Michael Palin and Jason Isaacs. Rooted in real events but unafraid of absurdity, the film exposes the paranoia and incompetence behind authoritarian rule, earning its place as one of the most celebrated political satires of the century thanks to sharp writing and standout performances. Variety called it ferociously funny, while The Telegraph praised its take on power and corruption. Free entry & popcorn - arrive early for sofa, bed, or beanbag seating.
