FLIPSIDE marks the first gathering of its kind in Phnom Penh, celebrating photobooks, photozines and independent publishing - bringing photographers, artists, collectors and enthusiasts together to discover new work, swap ideas, and dig into the craft of the photobook itself. The day runs from workshops and book displays through to artist talks and signings. Visitors can browse and buy photobooks and photozines directly from creators, catch works in progress, and explore special one-time-only viewings of participating artists’ personal book collections. A bookbinding workshop from RUUB Studio and a photo transfer workshop round out the hands-on side, while the ongoing exhibition 1000 Ghost Houses continues at the venue throughout. Featured artists: Lim Sokchanlina, Kim Hak, Prum Bandiddh, Moeng Meta, Marie Le Mounier, Colin Grafton, Khiev Kanel, Harriet Hawkins, Chea Vattanak, Sovan Philong, with more to be announced. Makers are welcome to bring their own photobooks, photozines or dummies to share, finished or in progress - no experience level required. Dedicated display or sales space is limited, so reach out to Java in advance if needed.
