Joe Jambalaya is British musician Jumpin' Joe Wrigley's passion project, built around a love for 1950s and '60s throwbacks and all things Americana, with Hank Williams a particular favourite. Wrigley has been a fixture of Phnom Penh's live music scene since 2013, leading projects spanning Cambodian music, rock 'n' roll, country and jazz, while gigging with Joe and the Jumping Jacks, the longest-running expat band in the country. His voice and songwriting land somewhere between the English eccentricity of Syd Barrett, Ray Davies and The Zombies, and the raw early rock 'n' roll of Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran. Come early for 2-for-1 happy hour cocktails from 4-7pm. motodop, 8c Street 460, Tuol Tompoung Thursday, September 17th, 7pm Free entry
