After decades spent in Philadelphia raising grandchildren and sending money back home, 93-year-old Mama Icha returns to her native Mompox, Bolívar, in Colombia, hoping to spend her final days in the dream house she built there. “La Casa de Mama Icha” (2021, 85 min) marks the feature debut of Colombian filmmaker Óscar Molina, known for his sensitive, observational take on migration, personal economics and what “home” really means. Shot over 180 hours of footage across two and a half years, using natural light throughout, the film intimately traces Mama Icha’s reverse-migration journey. Director Óscar Molina, currently based in Siem Reap, will hold a talk following the screening. Free entrance
