Les Voix au Chapitre return to the IFC on September 29th, echoing Khvay Samnang's exhibition with a read-aloud session of cross-read myths and legends. The readings travel from the totemic songs through which Aboriginal Australians name and create the world by walking, to the lives and beliefs of an 18th-century Inuit people as told by a poet-anthropologist, to the fabulous legends of the world of the elves. Texts are drawn from Bruce Chatwin's The Songlines, Jorn Riel's The Day Before Tomorrow, J.R.R. Tolkien's The Silmarillion and The Lord of the Rings, and Richard Powers' The Overstory. Read by Géraldine Barta, Anne Guérineau, Béatrice Montariol, Sabrina Silvain, Clémence Trémol and Luc Yniesta. Tuesday, September 29 Institut français du Cambodge
