About this event

IFC's Cineclub returns for its second rendez-vous, inviting Cambodian director Lida Chan to present a film she finds personally inspiring or technically impressive. Chan joined Bophana Center in 2006 as an archivist specializing in Khmer Rouge archives, and also works as a radio journalist for RFI, where she covered the trial of former Khmer Rouge cadre Duch. For her selection, Chan presents Red Wedding (2012), co-directed with Guillaume Suon, a documentary portraying a victim of forced marriage under the Khmer Rouge regime. The film premiered at the 2012 International Documentary Filmfestival Amsterdam, where it won Best Mid-Length Documentary. Screening followed by a discussion with Lida Chan.
