The Opening of Manifest by Lena Kinza

Perception, transformation and the shifting nature of reality run through Manifest, a new exhibition from Cambodia-based artist Lena Kinza, whose work moves fluidly between traditional canvas and skin. Trained in classical art, Lena spent years honing technical craftsmanship before the pressure to perform and chase perfection quietly drained the joy from creating - leading her to step away from art entirely for a time. Moving to Cambodia changed that: the country's cultural diversity and more relaxed social atmosphere gave her back the creative space she'd lost, reshaping her practice into what's now on view. Join the opening this Saturday, 15 August, from 6:00 pm at Plantation, with drinks, refreshments and music from the DJ setting the mood for an evening with the artist herself.
