Together: Zero Plastic

Students aged 14–15 from AUPP Liger Leadership Academy wrote, developed and performed a theatre production entirely on their own terms - with mentorship from Meta House and GIZ, but full creative ownership resting with the students themselves. That production, Together: The Last Hope, sits at the heart of Together: Zero Plastic, an exhibition exploring how community, environmental responsibility and the arts intersect around one of Cambodia's most pressing issues: plastic pollution affecting cities, rivers and ecosystems nationwide. Since its debut, the play has toured public schools and villages across the country, sparking dialogue on collective action, and was later adapted into a film to reach even wider audiences. Together, the exhibition and production make the case that young people, empowered as storytellers, are central to building a more sustainable future.
